Coastal Bridal Shoot // Deception Pass
This is Part I of a recent bridal inspired collaboration that was pulled together by a small team of lovely and super talented ladies. A few rainy days and last minute resource changes forced us to delay this shoot and change our overall game plan, but I am glad that we forged on that rainy Saturday afternoon because the results are undeniably beautiful. We set out to stretch our creative muscles and create an ethereal coastal vibe that would inspire brides to embrace their natural beauty as well as the natural elements around them because we live in the PNW and we know that sunny days are never a guarantee, even in the summer months. I knew Deanna (Twig and Vine Designs) was going to create something awesome using locally sourced florals and greens and I really wanted her bouquets to shine so we kept the hair, makeup, and styling minimal. Lydia was the perfect fit for this shoot not only because she is naturally gorgeous and has AMAZING hair, but because she is also adventurous and free spirited, which is exactly what I was looking for. My girl, Sarah, not only saved the day with her beauty skills, but also served as a second set of hands and eyes for me that day. She was instrumental in helping me bring this whole concept to life and I know that I couldn't have pulled this one off without her. Lastly, I picked up this Jenny Yoo gown from BHLDN and paired it with accessories from Nordstrom and Forever 21, creating this bridal look for less than $300.
Here are my favorite shots from our first set. Stay tuned for another blog post featuring all the images from our second set.
