Lake Chelan Wedding at Harmony Meadows Event Center // Manson, WA
Where do I even begin with these two? Kelly and Jake have a sweet love story that has spanned well over 7 years and hundreds of miles while Jake was in Washington and Kelly was in Arizona wrapping up Dental School. My favorite part is that they had agreed that they would hold off their engagement until Kelly graduated and moved back home, BUT Jake couldn't wait that long and somehow managed to plan and execute a surprise proposal (and party) while Kelly was home last Christmas. Since that amazing proposal last December, Kelly managed to finish dental school, move back home, land a job (she is now my dentist, btw) AND marry the love of her life. Their wedding was also nothing short of amazing and I still cannot believe that Kelly and Jake managed to do everything they did this year and plan a destination type wedding. Since they got married in Lake Chelan, I ended up making a weekend of it with my family and I was so glad that I did because this wedding certainly kept me on my toes! It was not only a super hot and sunny day, but it was just me (no second or assistant) with a whole heap of activities to capture. Nevertheless, I absolutely loved spending the day with these two and their families and I especially loved how the wedding party made sure that there was never a dull moment. I had no idea what it meant to "ice" someone until the groomsmen told me they planned on icing Jake. Ha!
