Urban Engagement Session in Pioneer Square // Seattle, WA
Mike and Elly’s engagement session was so much fun! I love it when couples and families are up for shooting in places like this because it works any time of year (unless you happen to schedule it during the weekend of the Women’s March). We made that mistake the first time, but this session proves that we can still get awesome photos even on the coldest and dreariest of days. This session took place just after the big snow storm and while it was only 36 degrees outside, we totally made it work. We chose to shoot in Pioneer Square so we could walk around the historical buildings of Seattle and warm up with some coffee, which is something Mike and Elly both love. Elly picked out The London Plane and I don’t think we could have asked for a better spot to warm up. The staff was so warm and welcoming and even made sure we got a table by the window. If you are ever in Pioneer Square and looking for a great place to have coffee or brunch, make sure to check this place out. I probably wouldn’t recommend it for photo sessions because it’s a busy little spot (and with good reason) and also pretty tough to shoot without feeling like you’re disrupting others. I still loved every minute of the time we spent there and all of the fun images that we captured together. Here are some of my favorites!
