Aubrey and Kathryn's Intimate Backyard Wedding // Monroe, WA
Aubrey and Kathryne are two of the kindest and most gracious souls that I have ever had a chance to work with and I’m so grateful that they found me. They currently live in Colorado, but were planning an intimate backyard wedding in Washington where family and friends would be gathering for a family reunion that same weekend. When Kathryn and I first spoke on the phone, we had an instant connection and it almost felt like talking to a an old friend. In fact, after the wedding, Kathryn’s uncle revealed that he didn’t realize that I was a wedding photographer. He assumed that I was a friend of Kathryn’s who just so happened to have a nice camera and offered to capture the day. This was probably the highest compliment that I could ever receive as I truly strive for that connection and level of comfort with all of my couples. Although I didn’t have a chance to meet Aubrey before the wedding day, the moment I introduced myself to him on the day of the wedding, he was so sweet and accommodating and was just so excited to see his bride. I was truly blown away by these two and how incredible their day was. Every part of their wedding was made possible by family and friends from the venue, decorations, and set-up to the flowers and food. It was so amazing to see how everyone came together to support Aubrey and Kathryn and make their wedding day so special. It may sound cheesy, but this wedding day didn’t feel like work at all. It felt like serving two incredible friends. Here are some of my favorite frames from Aubrey and Kathryn’s wedding day.
