In-Home Newborn Session // Seattle, WA
Ahhh this family. Where do I even begin? I met Alessandra at Heck Yeah Photo Camp several years ago. She was one of my camp roommates and to this day, I'm still amazed that all 8 of us ladies, two of which were pregnant at the time, could come together for the first time and survive in a 2 bedroom/1 bathroom abode for a full week. The entire experience was wild, but I have always been grateful for the friends and memories that I made at camp that year.
Alessandra and I have kept in touch and exchanged emails and referrals over the years. When she shared the news that her family was expecting another baby boy and wanted me to capture photos of her family, I was thrilled. It's always such an honor to shoot for other photographers and while it comes with a little added pressure, the reward is all the more meaningful. I visited the Arendt fam shortly after little Anders made his world debut and while this was only a mini session, I feel like we captured so much in so little time. Sweet little Anders rested peacefully in his parent's loving arms while big brother, Lee, kept us on our toes and made sure that we never had a dull or quiet moment. Nothing forced or contrived, just a loving family soaking in the newest member of the family. Here are my favorite photos from this sweet family mini session.
